CRC Nagpur Shines at Sammohan 2025 – India’s Premier Inclusive National Art Festival
Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Nagpur, functioning under the administrative control of *Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities (Divyangjan), Mumbai, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, proudly participated in **Sammohan 2025, held on **27th & 28th September 2025* at *Different Art Centre, Kerala*.
*Sammohan* is widely recognized as India’s premier inclusive national art festival, celebrating the creativity, resilience, and achievements of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). The 2025 edition of the festival was inaugurated by Honourable Governor of Kerala *Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, *, who in his address praised the artistic brilliance and diversity of the participants. He made special mention of the *Kalashraya Stall*,by CRC- NAGPUR appreciating the creativity and innovation of children and youth from across the country, including those representing CRC Nagpur. His encouraging remarks reinforced the role of inclusive platforms in recognizing the inherent talent and potential of PwDs.
CRC Nagpur’s contingent showcased a vibrant range of performances and exhibits, representing participants with *Hearing Impairment (HI), Intellectual Disability (ID), and Low Vision*.

* Ms. Anjali Bhute DOWN’S SYNDROME – Lavani Dance
* Ms. Nandini Bhosale LOW- VISION – Solo Dance
* Group Dance INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY , AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER: Ms. Harshita Kambale, Ms. Rutvija Gadpayle, and Ms. Avni Atkari
🔹 *Kalashraya Stall*
* Master Siddharth Soni, HEARING IMPAIRED Ms. Aayra Dongare, and Master Viraj Dongare INTELLECTUAL DISABILTY– showcased creative artwork and handmade exhibits that drew admiration from visitors, dignitaries, and the Honourable Governor himself.
The CRC Nagpur team was accompanied and guided by their escorts, staff, and faculty under the leadership of *Mr. Prafull Shinde, Director, CRC Nagpur, with dedicated support from **Mr. Amit Pakhale,wooden artist Instructor*.
The participation of CRC Nagpur not only highlighted the *artistic excellence of its children and youth with disabilities, but also embodied the festival’s vision of *“Ability beyond Disability.” Through their performances and exhibits, the participants proved that *art is a powerful medium to inspire empathy, inclusion, and positive social change*.This engagement at the national stage further strengthens *CRC Nagpur’s commitment to empowering persons with disabilities by fostering their talents and ensuring recognition at prestigious platforms*, thereby promoting a more inclusive and equitable society.
