Introduction

The Department of Speech, Hearing and Communication is one of the core technical department of CRC Nagpur speech, Hearing and Communication department deals with intervention process of persons having hearing, speech language and communication disorders.

Hearing evaluation.
Hearing screening for new born.
Speech, Language & communication evaluation.
Hearing aid selection, trial & fitting under ADIP scheme.
Auditory training.
Voice therapy.
Articulation therapy
Dysphagia therapy.
Fluency therapy.
Neuromotor speech disorder therapy.
Language therapy.
Outreach services.
Parental & sibling counseling.
Public education.
Extension services – camps in rural area.

Counseling of PwDs, Parents, Siblings etc.

Counseling is important aspect in intervention process. PwDs parent, siblings provide counseling & supports to assist special needs & support to facilitate the integration of the PwDs into the family. Speech and hearing department do provide counseling services.

Course of the Department

RCI recognized DISLI course, 2 yrs course is proposed for 2020-22.
